From the Workbench screen, you can navigate through WorksAccess. This article explains:
The Workbench view defaults to showing all Forwarded Works that have been loaded into WorksAccess which you have permission to view. There may be additional jobs loaded into WorksAccess that you do not have permission to view - these jobs will not be shown.
The Menu
The menu on the left hand side of the screen has various options you can navigate to from the Workbench screen:
- Search for a particular job
- Create a new job
- Filter the table and map according to specific categories
The numbers show the number of jobs in each category. In this example, there are 4 jobs in total. 0 Jobs have Opportunities, while 0 jobs have Challenges.
The Table
The table shows all the jobs that you have permission to view. You can sort the table by any fields in increasing or decreasing order by clicking on the headings:
The fields are defined as below:
ID - The Job Number assigned by WorksAccess. It serves as a unique ID for the Forward Works Job.
Job Name - A common name for your job.
Reference - A reference for your Job.
Activity - The type of works being undertaken.
Status - The stage of the works, whether the job is in planning, or has commenced, or is completed.
Start - The Start Date of works as indicated by the Contact Person.
End - The End Date of works as indicated by the Contact Person.
Territories - The authority whose AOI (Area of Interest) the job fits within.
Contact Person - The relevant person with whom to discuss details, opportunities, or challenges of this job.

The number of challenges that exist between this job and other jobs. |

The number of relationships that this job has with other jobs. |
|
Will the Job cause "Hard Surface Disruption", Yes or No. |

The number of notifications for the job. |

The Visibility status of the job (e.g. Draft, Private or Public). |
The Map
The map shows the locations of all jobs currently listed in the table. For more information on using the map, please click here.
How to Search the Jobs List
To view a specific job, click Search:
A pop-up box will appear, allowing you to provide the ID of the job or a generic text search for the Job Name or Reference Fields. Once you have entered the Search criteria, click Search.
You can also refine your search by providing From and To dates
This will highlight in blue the area marked out on the map and the job row in the table:
If you wish to search by more filters, just select the relevant category by the menu on the left hand side of the screen:
If you are a Territory Owner, additional options will appear at the bottom of this menu:
List All in AOI - available for organizations who are Territory Owners, responsible for a region, such as Local Governments.
AOI Intersection - allows you to draw a shape on the map and then view all works within the custom region.
To open a specific job, double click anywhere along the row in the Job List. This will open the Job Details screen in a new window, leaving the Workbench screen open in its own tab to return to as needed.
